Support for faith communities
We know that events in Israel and Gaza have had a direct impact on communities here in Haringey, especially our Jewish and Muslim communities.
Since the beginning of this crisis, we have been working together with our communities to ensure that Haringey continues to be a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone.
There are a number of organisations providing specialist support to Jewish and Muslim communities at this time, including:
- Community Security Trust (external link) – a national organisation providing support and advice for Jewish communities to combat antisemitism
- Tell MAMA (external link) – a national organisation providing information and support for victims of Islamophobia.
Reporting hate crime
There is no place for hate of any kind in Haringey.
If you witness a hate crime, report it to the police by calling 101 (999 in an emergency).
Offensive graffiti
If you come across offensive graffiti, report it by calling:
- 020 8885 7700 – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

British Red Cross appeal
All of us have been horrified by the immense loss of life and suffering we have witnessed.
The humanitarian crisis is worsening by the day and there is an urgent need for aid to ensure that innocent victims of this conflict can get the support they need (food, water and medical supplies).
We would invite everyone who is able in Haringey to consider making a donation to the British Red Cross appeal to help provide vital aid to those who need it.
